Tuesday Troupers is Aloha Theatre’s flagship Keiki Theatre Class, and is open to youth ages 10-12. 

Through eight 2-hour sessions students learn and rehearse a short play, improve their public speaking, develop problem-solving skills, and build friendships. 

This class ends with a performance for friends and family.

Meet the Instructor: 

Sara Athans is AT’s Artistic Director. She is a community arts administrator, facilitator, and director originally from Anchorage, Alaska. Prior to joining the Aloha Theatre, Sara worked in a pre-K special education classroom at Kahakai Elementary School; as the Director of Programs at the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum in Austin, Texas; and as the Executive Director of Anchorage Community Theatre in Anchorage, Alaska. Most recently Sara directed “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” for the Aloha Theatre. She holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas and an MA in Applied Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
