Theatre Thrivers is open to keiki ages 8-9.
In this class students learn important skills useful on and offstage.
Through eight 90-minute sessions students play theatre games, learn the core concepts of theatre practice, and rehearse a short performance for friends and family on the final day.
Meet the Instructor:
Taylor Deskin is currently teaching Performing Arts at Holualoa Elementary school and has been teaching there since 2020. She received her BA in Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado and her teaching licensure from the PEBC.
Her favorite roles include Johanna from Sweeney Todd and Schwartzy in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Taylor has graced the stage in numerous APAC productions including, 9 to 5: The Musical and Men On Boats. She also performs frequently with the Kona Aloha Singers, and the HIlarious! Improv troupe.
Taylor is passionate about watching her students discover themselves through the art of theatre!
